The Poorboys can cover your day from start to finish, from Celebrant to wedding ceremony music to simply a live band to fill your dance floor. Whatever you plan for your big day we can provided it, from church to dance floor.
Our Celebrant, Tim McGrath, is fully qualified with the Irish Institute of Celebrants (IIOC) & received his Certificate in Family Celebrancy with Distinction. Tim brings his experience, timing and good humour to each event. He will ensure that your day is a wonderful and memorable occasion.
Church music can be provided to you by Niall (lead singer). Niall pays great detail to your needs and can help you plan and arrange the perfect church wedding music. Niall can play and sing alone or can provide additional wedding singers / musicians depending on your wedding ceremony needs.
Many couples opt for reception music and we have found that this is getting more and more popular. The Poorboys can advise and guide you through all your needs for your reception entertainment. We can offer you a single singer/guitarist, a two piece or just instrumental. Depending on your venue, your plan for the day, talk to us to help you decide.
When The Poorboys come together as a four piece we bring to life all your favourites and classics to get your dance floor full. Additional players can be added on request. We pride ourselves on including the special couple and their guests as much as possible. We read the crowd well and tailor our set accordingly. Many of our clients have been family members or guests of previous weddings we played and remembered us when it came to booking a band for their big day.
The Poorboys are lucky to have within the band an experienced DJ. As our DJ is a band member the music is seamless. There are no gaps or delays as equipment is broken down, as soon as the band finish the DJ set begins and your dance floor stays full.
The list of what The Poorboys can provide you on your wedding day is not exhaustive, please contact the band (hyperlink to contact) to discuss your individual needs or requirements.
