The Poor Boys were absolutely fantastic, a pleasure to deal with before hand and brilliant on the night. I’ve lost count of the number of guests who have said that they were the best band they’d ever heard at a wedding and how they hadn’t stopped dancing for the entire set. In fact lots of people who generally don’t dance at weddings didn’t leave the dance floor which says it all. We really could not recommend them highly enough. Oh and they did a perfect rendition of our first song which they learned just for us which was really appreciated.

You guys completely surpassed all of our expectations. Not only did you play all the rock songs that we love (including an incredible version of Zeppelin’s Rock and Roll), you really did manage to play a set that catered for every single person in the room. I’ve never before seen so many people on a dance floor at a wedding, even my aunts and uncles who are in their late 60’s & 70’s were up dancing for most of the night! Our guests still haven’t stopped contacting us to tell us how impressed they were.

I just wanted to send an email to say a big THANK YOU to you guys for playing at our wedding on 30^th June in Clontarf Castle , to say you were amazing would be an understatement!! From the very beginning Niall was so easy to deal with, which for a bride trying to organize a wedding is a huge bonus. We had seen you guys play prior to the wedding and we instantly loved you because you were so different to normal wedding bands.

I never got to thank you on the night for playing an ‘Absolute Blinder’ on Sunday. It was the best Gig I’ve ever seen, you and the lads (Poorboys) are pure class and you completed the evening in ways that words can’t describe. I’d just like to thank you from all of us! You wrapped up our day perfectly and made it very special.

Thanks for a great night’s entertainment on the 5th in Brooklodge.

We had a ball and everyone was talking about the band afterwards & still are!

People said it was like going to a proper gig instead of a typical wedding band!

They were absolutely fantastic!  They were charming, polite, PATIENT, extremely talented and responsible for many more sore feet come Sunday than we could have hoped! The  feedback from all our guests was really positive and I have told them  who to contact should they wish to use their services in the future. Please  pass on my thanks to Niall & the boys.  I will be happy to provide a  reference/feedback should it be required in the future.

The Poor Boys one of the best wedding bands Ireland has to offer are available nationwide.
We are available for weddings and all types events both public and private.
The Poorboys can cater for your entire wedding from the church to the dance floor. We offer a range of packages with church singers, full band and dj all available.
The Poor Boys are a four piece all male group, featuring some of Ireland’s most talented musicians.
John Colbert regularly plays bass with Damien Dempsey and Mundy; drummer Tim McGrath was a member of Paddy Casey’s band on U2’s Vertigo world tour; guitarist Dom Muldoon played on Christy Moore’s latest album as well as guesting with the likes of Josh Groban, Joe Dolan and  Natasha Beddingfield.
The band have made several TV and film appearances, including the movie Laws Of Attraction starring Julianne Moore and Pierse Brosnan and the Meteor TV ad alongside the legendary Joe Dolan.
They have also performed at countless weddings and corporate events across Ireland.
The band perform from two main repertoires, updated on a regular basis – a more traditional wedding set comprising classic tunes from the sixties right up to the present day and a more alternative collection based around classic and contemporary rock tunes. The client is free to pick songs from across the genres and decades, compiling their own unique set list – this is one band that can truly play to suit all tastes.
